Huey Lewis and The News are truly one of America’s great rock & roll bands. As
they enter their 35th year together, their contagious brand of music has outlasted
countless trends, and is as fresh today as ever. Formed from two rival Bay Area
bands in 1979, they continue to thrill audiences worldwide, selling over 20 million
albums in the process, earning them the right to mark their place on the pop
history map.

These Grammy Award winners have written and performed such classic
Top Ten Hits as “Heart of Rock & Roll”, “Stuck With You”, “I Want A New Drug”, “If
This Is It”, “Hip To Be Square” “Do You Believe In Love” and “Workin’ For A Livin”.
The group also wrote and performed “The Power of Love” and “Back in Time” for
the hit film Back To The Future. “The Power of Love”, nominated for an Academy
Award, went to #1 on Billboard’s singles chart, and was a smash hit worldwide.

As great a recording career as the band has had, there is something extra
special about a Huey Lewis & The News live show. They incorporate a variety of
musical influences including R&B and soul to create their own unique sound.
Frontman Huey Lewis' unmistakable voice has a rich, textured quality that lends
itself well to not just their hits, but also to the variety of other songs featured in
the show. Lewis also brings some bluesy tones to the performance when he
breaks out into his harmonica solos. One of the highlights of the show is their
a cappella rendition of early rock n’ roll classics such as “It’s Alright”, “Little Bitty
Pretty One” and “Sixty Minute Man”.

Huey Lewis & The News are: Huey Lewis (vocals and harmonica),
Johnny Colla (saxophone, guitar and vocals), Bill Gibson (drums, percussion and
vocals), Sean Hopper (keyboards and vocals), Stef Burns (guitars and vocals)
and John Pierce (bass). The live show features their long time horn section of
San Francisco bay area luminaries: Rob Sudduth (tenor saxophone), Marvin
McFadden (trumpet), and Johnnie Bamont (baritone saxophone).

Huey Lewis & The News have a love of music that comes through in
everything they do. Be it their albums, their live performances, or the way they
interact with their fans, they are a band with “Heart and Soul”.

Coolest Summer Ever - New AC
CASINO BALLROOM INSTALLS NEW HVAC SYSTEM, BOOSTS ENERGY EFFICIENCY Concert Attendees Will Enjoy More Comfortable Temperatures This Summer Thanks to Infrastructure Upgrades Hampton, N.H., June 4, 2014 - The Casino Ballroom, one of the oldest live music and comedy venues in the country, has completed major infrastructure upgrades that will offer concert-goers a more comfortable environment in which to see their favorite artists perform this summer. Working closely with Unitil, a provider of natural gas and electricity in New England, the Casino Ballroom has taken a number of steps to reduce the energy required to cool the building. First, GDS Associates, Inc. completed an energy audit of the building, which presented unique solutions for not only drastically increasing the venue's cooling capacity by 18 tons, but also ways to vent heat from "trouble spots," such as those that result from hot stage lighting used during shows. These upgrades, installed by J. Lawrence Hall Company, will allow for greater temperature control and a more comfortable viewing experience at shows in the venue, even on the summer's hottest days. Innovations include: - A new, highly efficient HVAC unit and economizer, which will increase total cooling output - New, cooler LED stage lighting that will generate less heat as wasted energy - Improved airflow to let excess heat from inside the venue escape more easily "Our goal is to provide the best possible live concert experience in New Hampshire for fans and for performers," said Andrew Herrick, director of marketing, Casino Ballroom. "We're thrilled with the infrastructure upgrades that have been made to our building, and, simply put, the results are incredible. The room will be much more comfortable on hot summer nights, and our overall energy consumption actually went down slightly, even with the added cooling capacity". The Casino Ballroom was one of Unitil's first electric customers in 1900, which means the landmark venue has been a Unitil customer for almost 114 years. "At Unitil, we're proud to help local companies like the Casino Ballroom improve customer experience through innovative energy-efficiency solutions," said Tim Noonis, senior business development manager, Unitil. "The Casino Ballroom is a premiere entertainment venue, and these new improvements guarantee that fans will continue to enjoy world-class shows here for years to come."

2014 Concert Series
After this long winter we are thrilled that the 2014 Budweiser Concert Series is finally here. Kicking things off with a sold out Experience Hendrix show was the perfect way to "defrost". This will be a very special year at the Ballroom. Thanks to a partnership with Unitil we were able to significantly increase our air conditioning to keep things cool while the bands heat up. We have also made a huge change to the stage that will allow us to incorporate more touring production when your favorite artists stop by to play. With shows announcing each week and over 50 shows on sale now there is going to be something for everyone on the beach this summer! We look forward to seeing you.
